Who we are

Simon Detheridge

Simon is our Chief Technical Officer, and has worked on many Widgit Software titles. His background is in programming and he wrote the symboliser code, which is the backbone of all Widgit Software. Simon also wrote the Point application and is in charge of the online development team. Contact Simon with any technical queries you have about Point.

Cate Detheridge

Cate has been involved with the creation and design of the Widgit Symbol set from the beginning. She is also the first point of call for any information on accessibility and symbols. As Project Manager she oversees many of the new challenges that are presented to Widgit, and works closely with her team to find innovative and creative solutions. Tim Down

Tim’s background and expertise lies in internet technologies. He created the Insite editor for Widgit and continues to work on new and innovative ways to symbolise online content. Contact Tim with any technical queries about Insite.

Martin Fisher

Martin's background is in Special Educational Needs teaching and he draws on this experience in his role as one of our SEN Consultants. Martin can provide practical information about the application of the range products supplied by Widgit. He is also Widgit’s overseas liaison and Mayer-Johnson specialist, and one of our product demonstrators and trainers.

Tina Voizey

Tina’s experience is extensively in the Special Educational Needs sector. She worked for many years as a SEN teacher and now works under the banner of SEN consultant for Widgit. Tina works on many of our high-profile events and presents at conferences such as ISAAC. Tina is also a Widgit Software specialist and can advise you on any software related matters.

Eleanor Barber

Eleanor’s background and experience lies in customer advice and administration. She works at Widgit organising major events and works closely with Widgit sales partners. Russell Smith

Russell’s background is in Multimedia and Photography, which he taught in specialist further education for over five years before joining Widgit Software. He now works at Widgit under the banner of Media and Research, working extensively with all departments within Widgit and contributing to all of their multimedia and online resources.
